BLUE EYE CUSTOM TAILOR – Do It Yourself Measurement Guide (for Women)
With just a measuring tape and a friend’s help, you can capture your full measurements at home.
Follow these steps to ensure the perfect made-to-measure fit.
#1. COLLAR
- Place the measuring tape around your neck, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) below where your neck meets your shoulder or just under the Adam’s apple.
- Keep the tape level all the way around, without any gaps.
- Add one finger’s width inside the tape for a comfortable fit.

#2. SHOULDER WIDTH
- Stand with your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
- Place the measuring tape from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other, along the base of the collar.

#3. SLEEVES LENGTH
- Place the measuring tape at the shoulder seam.
- Run the tape along the outside of your slightly bent arm, down to the wrist where the shirt cuff will end.

#4. BICEP
- Let your arms hang naturally by your sides.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bicep, roughly 2 inches (5 cm) below the armpit.
- Add one finger’s width inside the tape for accuracy and comfort.

#5. WRIST
- Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist.
- Add one finger’s width inside the tape to allow for comfort.

#6. ARMPIT
- Position the measuring tape around your armpit, starting from the top of the shoulder.
- Add one finger’s width inside the tape for accuracy and comfort.

#7. CHEST
- Wrap the measuring tape around your chest, just under the armpits.
- Position it at the fullest part of your chest, usually above or at the nipple line.

#8. WAIST
- Place the measuring tape at your navel and wrap it around your waist.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor, snug but not pressing into the skin.
- Add one finger’s width for comfort and accuracy.

#9. STOMACH
- Position the measuring tape midway between your belly button and your waistband.
- Keep it parallel to the floor, snug but not tight against the skin.
- Add one finger’s width inside the tape for comfort and accuracy.
#10. ABOVE CHEST WIDTH
- Wrap the measuring tape around the top of your chest, right along the crease of the armpits.
- Position it just above the fullest part of the chest.
- Add one finger’s width for a little slack.

#11. ARMPIT SPACING
- Measure across your back between the widest points under each armpit.
- Keep the tape straight and level.
- Add one finger’s width for accuracy and comfort.

#12. SHOULDER TO BUST LENGTH
- Place the measuring tape at the top midpoint of the shoulder.
- Measure straight down from the shoulder to the apex of the bust (center of the nipple).

#13. SHOULDER TO WAIST
- Start at the midpoint on top of the shoulder.
- Measure vertically down the front of the body to the waistline, aligning with the level of your belly button.

#14. SHIRT LENGTH
- Position the end of the measuring tape at the shoulder seam where it meets the collar.
- With your arm relaxed, measure straight down to the bottom of the fly.

#15. DISTANCE BETWEEN NIPPLES

- Measure the straight distance from the center of one nipple to the center of the other.

#16. FRONT CHEST WIDTH
- Measure across the chest at its fullest point, usually level with the nipples.
- Wrap the measuring tape from the back to the front, keeping it snug but not tight.

#17. DIAGONAL NECK-TO-UNDERARM CIRCUMFERENCE
- Stand straight, arms relaxed at sides.
- Place tape at the base of the neck (side neck point).
- Wrap tape diagonally over the front shoulder, under the armpit, and up across the back to the starting point.
- Keep tape flat, not twisted; insert one finger for comfort.
- Read and record where tape meets the starting point.

#18. PANTS WAIST
- Start at the top of the hip bone.
- Wrap the measuring tape around the body, passing over the belly button.
- Keep the tape straight all the way around, including at the back, and avoid pulling it too tight.
- Leave space for one finger between the tape and the body for accuracy and comfort.

#19. ABOVE HIPS
- Wrap the measuring tape around the bare stomach, just above the upper hip bone.
- Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
- Hold it snug without compressing the skin.
- Allow one finger of space between the tape and the body for accuracy and comfort.

#20. HIPS
- Stand with feet together and remove any outer garments.
- Wrap the measuring tape snugly around the widest part of the hips.
- Take the measurement where the end of the tape meets the remaining length.
- Leave space for one finger between the tape and the body for accuracy and comfort.

#21. CROTCH
- Start at the waist, bring the measuring tape down through the crotch, around the curve of the buttocks, and back up to the waist at the back.
- Make sure to follow the natural curves of the belly and buttocks for an accurate measurement.
- This helps ensure the pants will fit comfortably without feeling too snug.

#22. THIGH

- Wrap the measuring tape from the front to the back and around to the front again.
- Allow one finger of space between the tape and the body for accuracy and comfort.

- Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of the calf.
- Leave space for one finger between the tape and the body for accuracy and comfort.

#25. PANTS LENGTH
